Adrian Pulfer graduated from Brigham Young University in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in graphic design. A native of Australia, he has established himself among the top designers in America. He is currently a faculty member at BYU in the Department of Design. Adrian helped to create and launch the LDS Church's "I'm a Mormon" campaign.

As a textile designer he has created fabrics, rugs, and wallpapers for Knoll International and for F. Schumacher, New York. As an art director, he has produced advertising for American Express’ award-winning Portraits campaign. As a graphic designer, he has created the graphic standards for many of America’s leading corporations. He has designed several books and has also served as Creative Director for Graphis Magazine and Graphis Annuals, long considered to represent the highest standard in the graphic design industry. He is currently a faculty member at BYU in the Department of Design.

In 1992 BYU awarded him the prestigious Karl G. Maeser Research Award. Pulfer%u2019s work has been recognized by the Advertising Club of New York, AIGA, Communication Arts, Creativity, Graphis, U&lc, Typo-graphic Design, Print Magazine, Idea Magazine, Type Directors%u2019 Club, Society of Publication Designers, and the San Francisco Gold Show. In 2001, Pulfer's Mahonri Young book won the highest award in the Graphics Logo Annual International Design Competition. It also received a Copper Ingot from the AIGA 100 Show, an Honorable Mention in the Museum Publications Design Competition, and an Honorable Mention by the AAM. In May 2006 Adrian and co-worker Linda Reynolds directed a project funded by the Laycock Center for Creative Collaboration in the Arts. The project took Graphic Design students to the 16th Annual AGIdeas Conference in Melbourne, Australia. BYU was the only non-professional presenter and represented themselves well. In 2010, Pulfer received a Graphis Platinum Award for excellence in teaching. In 2015, he received several gold and silver awards as a faculty advisor at the 2015 Graphis New Talent Annual.
