I want my design to be able to be seen as art. I like to approach each project as if there are no limits, no precedents. Nothing is ruled out in the beginning (within the project constraints). I want the majority of my work to be enjoyable. Any work that leaves the viewer with a negative, empty feeling is not useful, in most cases. There are of course exceptions. But not the Whitney Biennial of 2013. That left me cold.
