When Clyde Hayes is not working at his career as an accountant for the government, he can be found writing children’s stories. Many of his characters and plots develop from his own childhood in Nephi, Utah, as well as from his experiences working with young men in the Scouting program. Clyde’s other hobbies include traveling, reading, playing golf, and working in his flower beds. His wife, Linda, describes Clyde as a big tease, especially with their five children and six grandchildren. Clyde admits he is looking forward to retirement, and plans to continue writing children’s stories with Pat Jacobson (co-author of The Tunnels of Tescuna).
