Cora Carver Ritchie was born in Plain City, May 9, 1889 to Willard and Cordelia Carver. She attended the public schools of Plain City, Weber College and Brigham Young University. She taught school in Plain City for four years. She married James D. Ritchie and they made their home in southern Idaho. They returned to Ogden in 1932.
Mrs. Ritchie had been employed by the Ogden Chamber of Commerce, Weber Central Dairy and Utah Power and Light Company as demonstrator and public contacts representative. She was prominent in the L.D.S. church and was a regular contributor to the Relief Society magazine.
