Deanne Blackhurst was born in Oakland, California. She's lived in many places across the United States and served a year and a half mission in the Paraquay Asuncion Mission. Deanne spent over ten years researching the experiences of sister missionaries throughout the world and conducted in depth interviews with over thirty five young and older sisters who served as single sister missionaries in places as common as Idaho or as far flung as Russia. She has six children, a son-in-law, a darling grandson, and she lives with her husband, Kent in Pleasant Grove, Utah.
I'm a stay-at-home writer/mother of six children, I enjoy reading, computer graphic arts, designing web pages, genealogy and experimenting with ethnic cuisine. I love all chocolate - the darker the better, dangly earrings and long bath tub soaks provided they include a really good book.
