Edna Hickman Day, a descendant of Utah pioneers, was born September 11, 1892 in Stockton, Tooele County, Utah. She grew up in Stockton and Tooele, attended high school in Salt Lake City, and later attended Westminster College. She graduated from L.D.S. Business college and worked as a stenographer in the Tooele County Courthouse. She married William Franklin Day in Twin Falls, Idaho on August 30, 1919 and their marriage was later solemized in the Logan L.D.S. Temple. They moved to Preston and later Twin Falls Idaho where they had a family. Edna joined the Idaho Falls Writer's League. She was a primarily fiction writer who wrote stories, essays, and articles and also a poet. She died January 9, 1983 in Pocatello, Idaho.
