Louise Morris Kelley an accomplished pianist and writer of novels, short stories, and poetry. She helped create the Idaho State Poetry Society.
Louise was born December 9, 1923, in Lewisville, Idaho, to Herbert James and Norma Harper Morris. She was raised in Rigby, Idaho. She graduated from Rigby High School with highest honors and attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. Louise worked as a medical secretary in Salt Lake City, where she met and married Francis Clyma. They were later divorced. On September 6, 1950, Louise married John (Jack) Steele Kelley in the Idaho Falls Temple. After Jack's graduation from BYU the family moved to West Covina, California, where Louise taught early-morning seminary and raised five children. The family lived in California for 12 years before returning to their Idaho roots and settling in Boise, Idaho, where she worked at Idaho Power Co. as a medical claims clerk.
