Marba C. Josephson was prominent in literary circles throughout Utah. She graduated in 1918 from the University of Utah, and later went on to do graduate studies at the U. of U. and the University of California. Marba was married to Newel F. Josephson in 1924 in the Salt Lake temple. She taught English and history at Nephi High School, Box Elder High School, Gila College, and the University of Utah. She was the associate editor of the Improvement Era as well as president of the Utah Press Women.
