Marlene Harris Austin
Marlene Harris Austin is Idaho-born, Montana-raised, and Utah-educated with a bachelor's in elementary education from Brigham Young University. Despite all her ties to the West, one hot, humid day she stepped from a near-claustrophobic, travel cluttered car onto the crowded streets of Cambridge, Massachusetts. It was the land of her New England forefathers, but she knew no one there, and at the time had no job or apartment - only the conviction that she had been led to Massachusetts to do genealogy and write. The next day, she met Tony Austin, whom she married two years later in the Ogden Temple. They have made their home and raised their family in Westford, Massachusetts.
