Mary E. Abel

Biography

Mary Ellen Shelley Abel was born June 2, 1865, to Thomas and Charlotte Elsmore Shelley. She was married to George Abel in the Logan, Utah temple on November 11, 1885. Mary was city treasurer of American Fork for several years. She attended Brigham Young Academy and later taught school. She was president of the third ward relief society for 18 years.
