Richard Hull worked as a graphic designer and illustrator after his graduation. He also taught illustration at Brigham Young University. Throughout his career he received many commissions for magazines, children's picture books, and school books. He illustrated for large publishing companies as well, including though not limited to Harper Collins Publishers and MacMillan/McGraw-Hill Publishing. He also worked and illustrated for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints magazines.
