As a young artist he was drawn to Utah when it was full of old barns and wide open spaces. His subject matter turned from Wasatch landscapes to figurative work when he was selected to attend the Master's Program at the New York Academy of Art. Upon graduating his heart lead him to the North Shore of Oahu where he studied the colors of the Islands and had the privilege of raising his family in Paradise. Now he finds himself drawn to Utah once again. He is driven to make visible on canvas the history and the heritage of hope of a mighty and industrious people and he can see how each chapter of his life has given him the tools he needed to master the line, color and form for the "Joy in the Journey" collection.
