Tip Boxell has been a professional actor, writer, director, and production worker in Utah since 1975. He is also a professional educator, teaching acting, film studies, communications, and English for Salt Lake Community College.

Third kid born in Provo in 77. Moved to Salt Lake City 1979. Full time writer-producer-director-actor of stage, screen, and television in Utah 1980-1988. Fourth and final kid born in Salt Lake City in 1980. Divorced in 1988. Entered Utah Army National Guard in 1988. Got MA from BYU in Theater and Film in 1989. Taught at LDSBC 1989-1995. Taught at Salt Lake Community College 1989-1990; 2000-2001; 2005; 2010-2011. Active duty Guard 1995-2000. Then Iraq War 2003-2004 (Vietnam '69, age 22; Iraq, 12 months Baghdad, Kuwait, Qatar, age 57). Active duty Guard back in Utah 2004-2006. Retired age 60 with 30 years service 15 of which was active.
