Verda Peterson Bollschweiler was born February 14, 1904 in Hinckley, Utah, a daughter of Niels Alma and Annie Walker Peterson. She married George Rupper Bollschweiler on June 28, 1928 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Verda was an active member of the Hawthorne Ward. During her life she served as a teacher, and as president of the Primary and Relief Society, and as a member of stake boards. She and her husband served as temple workers in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Verda was a noted poet. Many of her poems were published. She was a member of the National League of American Pen Women and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was a co-founder of the Simada Study Group. Verda also served as secretary to the Utah State PTA where she was editor of the Utah State PTA Bulletin.
