Wendy L. Watson holds a Ph.D. in family therapy and gerontology and is a professor of marriage and family therapy in the School of Family Life at Brigham Young University. With a rich professional background also as a nurse and a psychologist, Dr. Watson has worked as a marriage and family therapist for more than twenty-five years, and has spent two decades teaching, researching, writing, supervising, and consulting in that field, both nationally and internationally. She served as chair of the 1999 and 2000 BYU Women\'s Conferences, and has also served as a stake Relief Society president and stake Primary president.
