The close friendship between Tony Ririe and Pat Donavan began long ago at Salt Lake City's East High School. Despite their religious differences, they had forged an unbreakable bond.
Now, decades later in the year 2020, they trust each other without question, even in their current assignments as Elder Anthony J. Ririe of the LDS Church's First Presidency, and Bishop Patrick Donavan of the Salt Lake Catholic Diocese.
That is why the following message from Pat was truly alarming:
"Tony, I must see you immediately — confidentially and very privately. I'm onto something potentially devastating. Something that could directly affect the future well-being of your church and perhaps my own, as well."
Their joint efforts in handling a mysterious manuscript that could shake the roots of the LDS Church is a stirring, inspiring journey. (Publisher website)
