Martha is upset when she finds out they don't have enough money to buy a Christmas tree. She is heartbroken over the thought of her daughter, Mary, waking up without a tree. Martha tells her husband she can't stay in the desert anymore unless she witnesses a miracle. After a tense and sleepless night, Martha wakes up to hear her daughter yelling about a tree. Two tumbleweeds had stacked on top of each other in the night, and Mary had begun to decorate the "tree." Martha decides she will never again lose faith in miracles.
