A 15-year-old boy and his father have been working on a trail-building team for several months. The boy is beginning to wonder about the purpose of life and how to navigate the years ahead. His father also seems to be questioning the purpose of life, and the boy senses his dissatisfaction with his work and family situation. In a burst of sunlight through the mountain fog, the boy finds hope and encouragement for the years ahead for both him and his father.
