With help from their landlady, who becomes a dear friend, Enid gets her degree to be a school teacher. She considers marrying for money for Sharon’s sake, but realizes that that would be wrong. When their landlady passes away, she names Enid her sole inheritor, and Sharon is able to host parties as she had always wanted. Through it all, Enid is able to teach Sharon that the most important heritage, is a heritage of faith.
