Reverend Smythe-Wight is worried that his congregation, wanting to know what happens to those who died without baptism, will turn to other churches. One night he has a dream where he reads 1 Peter 4:6, which says that the gospel is preached to the dead. That same night, a young girl named Lucy talks with her Grandfather and her mother about the LDS Church and if her brother who died in WWII was a sinner. While her mother defends the Methodist church, she doesn't believe her son was a sinner. At the sermon the next day, Reverend Smythe-Wight speaks on the punishment of the wicked and who can enter heaven, but when someone asks him about 1 Peter 4:6, he cannot answer and leaves. Lucy and her mother join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and look forward to when they can do temple work to save their loved ones.
