Salt Lake City, Utah: General Board of Relief Society, January 1970
Fiction, Short Story
It’s a very fateful day when Jerusha’s car breaks down in front of the Wilson’s house. She’s invited to stay the night, which quickly becomes a permanent situation as she helps nurture the motherless children, as well as cook and clean. However, she knows the children need an actual mother, and she introduces Lynn, a Californian school teacher, to Paul. They end up getting married. Along the way, Jerusha is baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, little Amy passes away, and many adventures are had before Jerusha returns home to South Carolina.
