Personal Essay
A mother recounts the joyful childhood of her son before his death by influenza. His sickness came right after his mother gave birth to a daughter and recovered from the flu herself. His death brought pain and deep sorrow to his parents and older sister, and his father became bitter towards God. Eventually, the mother had a dream that allowed the family to find healing and reach a place of joy again.
