During the American Revolution, a young woman named Alice sympathizes with the revolutionary cause against her Tory father's wishes. She anticipates the return of her brother and his friend Frank, the man she loves, from serving in the Continental Army. After they cross the Delaware to attack the Hessians at Trenton, the two soldiers come home and are welcomed by her father. She and Frank confess their love for each other.
