Will Jackson, formerly an itinerant Panhandle cowboy, now has a family ranch in a rural Mormon community. In the midst of struggles and tribulations, Will begins to ponder his life, and whether he will be remembered beyond his children's lives. Will's chosen method of creating his niche in history is not as might be expected from an unschooled cowboy. His success is sufficient to satisfy even one much better stationed in life.
