This film tells the story of the last days of Gary Gilmore, the real life man who not only came from a semi-LDS background but was executed for the murder of two LDS men, thus becoming the first person executed after reinstation of the death penalty in the United States. The plot revolves around his brothers Mikal and Frank's attempt to stay his execution; Gary himself is determined to go through with it to perform a blood atonement for his sins.
Includes well-known LDS actor Rick Macy in the cast.
