Emphasizing how precious is the gift of agency, Sharon G. Larsen testifies of the growth that comes when we surrender our will to God: "God can make much more out of our lives that we can--if we will let Him." Through the use of experiences from her life and the lives of others, Sister Larsen testifies that "Nothing can free us spiritually more than obedience to God's laws."
In a companion talk, Ardeth G. Kapp gives this comforting assurance: "When we determine to take a stand and commit to go the whole way, our whole life, our Father in Heaven will be with us the whole way, our whole life." These two powerful talks amply depict the joy and blessings that come from standing as women of God.
As biological sisters, Ardeth Kapp and Sharon Larsen share not only the same parents but a unique vision of what it means to be a faithful Latter-day Saint woman. Sister Kapp is a former general president of the Young Women organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sister Larsen has served twice as a member of the Young Women general board and is second counselor in the Young Women general presidency. [publisher blurb]
