Fiction, Short Story
When Mary Hemshaw's second husband dies, she refuses to wallow in grief. She gets a job at a store, and she makes it her mission to help the young girl who works with her. She is optimistic and faithful throughout all her circumstances, and she often calls the mole on her ear a good luck charm. The girl she works with becomes sick and needs to go to California to recover, and there she meets and falls in love with Mary Hemshaw's long-lost son.
