From the DVD: John Bytheway has been presenting assemblies in high schools, junior high schools and even elementary schools for over a decade. He was recently invited to speak at the National Association of Student Councils convention where he received a standing ovation. Finally, this presentation has been recorded on DVD.
John says that 'we can't change the trail we have in life, but we can make the hike easier if we change what's in our pack.' He also persuasively explains that 'it's better to be respected than it is to be popular, because popularity ends on yearbook day, but respect lasts forever.'
John also gives a 'just say 'no' to drugs' message which is both hilarious and profound while retelling his experience of donating a kidney to his older brother.
Lastly, John gives a plug to the three 'R's, reading, writing and arithmetic, and warns against spending too much time with the big 'R,' the remote!
You'll laugh, you'll learn, and you'll love 'What's in Your Backpack?'
